Watch the Squid Game Season 2 teaser on Netflix

The first extended look at the second season of Squid game shows that the game doesn't get any easier for any of the green-clad participants.

Netflix has released a teaser for the second season of its global hit, which stars Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae) again. This time, however, he's surrounded by a bevy of new players who don't know all that well what they want – and in some cases, they don't seem to care, drawn in by the potential to win a life-changing amount of money that's in front of them lies.

As Seong tries to explain that he's played the games before, another player asks, “Why the hell did you come crawling back?” before chanting, “One more game!” among his teammates. Check out the teaser below.

The almost two-minute teaser expands on an earlier clip that was mainly used to get in the mood for the second season. The new video features some of the game's new entrants and some brutal moments from the people running the competition.

Netflix describes the second season as follows: “Three years after winning Squid Game, Player 456 has given up on going to the States and returns with a new resolution in mind. Gi-hun once again delves into the mysterious survival game and starts another game of life and death, gathering new participants to win the prize of 45.6 billion won.”

In addition to Lee Jung-jae, the series' recurring cast also includes Lee Byung-hun, Wi Ha-joon and Gong Yoo. They are joined by Yim Si-wan, Kang Ha-neul, Park Gyu-young, Lee Jin-uk, Park Sung-hoon, Yang Dong-geun, Kang Ae-sim, Lee David, Choi Seung-hyun and Roh Jae – won, Jo Yu-ri and Won Ji-an.

Season two of Squid game Premieres December 26; Writer, director and executive producer Hwang Dong-hyuk said the series will end with a third season, set to premiere sometime next year.
