Spurs' Victor Wembanyama picked up a 5×5 win over Jazz for the second time in his career

San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama added to his list of career accomplishments on Thursday night by recording his second 5×5 line statistical game in just his 76th NBA game.

Wembanyama recorded 25 points, nine rebounds, seven assists, five blocks and five steals in the Spurs' 106-88 victory over the Utah Jazz at the Delta Center. It is the 23rd time in NBA history that a player has recorded at least five points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks in a game. This dates back to when the league began tracking blocks in 1973. It's the first time since Wembanyama achieved this feat last season in a February loss to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Wembanyama is the third player in NBA history to play multiple 5×5 games, joining Andrei Kirilenko (three) and Hakeem Olajuwon (six) in the elite group.

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich took Wembanyama out of the game with six minutes left when the center needed a steal and a block to accomplish the feat. With Spurs leading by 19, it looked like Wembanyama's night was over and his 5×5 quest was over. However, he returned to the floor less than two minutes later and secured his final block and steal as the game came to a close.

Wembanyama's big night follows the worst performance of his young career on Wednesday night, when he managed just six points, eight rebounds, two assists, three blocks and no steals in a loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder and rival Chet Holmgren.
