County boards of elections are seeing high voter turnout as early voting continues for the upcoming election.

On the second day of early voting, lines are already forming in front of the polling stations, which open at 8 a.m

There was a large turnout on Wednesday, the first day of early voting, with some voters waiting hours to cast their ballots.

According to the state elections board, about 162,000 Oklahomans have already voted.

This includes 77,000 early voters and 85,000 mail-in ballots cast.

Based on September data on Oklahoma's registered voter population, one in 15 registered voters has already cast a ballot.

Election officials are encouraging residents to take advantage of early voting as Election Day approaches.

Many Facebook users said they waited for hours, but given the excitement surrounding the election, it was worth it.

“The vote lasted three hours. However, the weather was fantastic and the waiting company around me was pleasant,” said Teresa Martini.

Hayley Dickson said: “I never thought I would be so happy to see voting queues wrapped around the buildings!”

Richard Flener said, “Longest line to vote I have seen since I started voting in Latimer County in 1980.”
