Same-day voter registration will be available in these states in 2024

The battle for the White House in 2024 remains in a dead heat between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris to win battleground states that could cement an Electoral College win, according to new reports released by UMass Lowell/YouGov Surveys show.

About 62 million Americans have already voted, according to Election Hub at the University of Florida, but can those who aren't yet registered to vote still participate? In some states the answer is yes.

Each state has its own voter registration deadlines, voting times, and same-day registration rules, but over 20 states allow some type of registration and voting on Election Day on November 5th.
