What to do in Eastern PA this weekend: November 2nd and 3rd

EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA, Pa. — As residents head to the polls in Tuesday's general election, it might not be a bad idea to brush up on a little history this weekend.

There are two ways to do that in Philadelphia this weekend.

This weekend you can catch the first national tour of “Hamilton” at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia. It is a play about one of the founding fathers of the nation.

With all the talk about the U.S. Constitution, take a look and learn more about its integral foundation for our nation. You can do that at the National Constitution Center, where the presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris is taking place.

In the meantime, we're having an apple festival in Peddler's Village and the Brubeck Brothers are playing jazz in Newtown.

These are some of the events planned for this weekend in Eastern Pennsylvania:

“Hamilton” will be presented at the Academy of Music

The biggest Broadway show since “The Book of Mormon” is on its first-ever national tour, playing the Academy of Music in Philadelphia. “Hamilton” is a true milestone in American culture. The story centers on Alexander Hamilton, one of the country's most important characters, who rose from humble, orphaned beginnings and played an important role in making America the country it is today.
