Tegan Nox released by WWE

According to a new report, Tegan Nox has been released by WWE.

Per Sean Ross Sapp of Combative (above Combative selection), Tegan Nox is leaving WWE and will be a free agent in 90 days. Sapp later confirmed she was released.

In an update, Sapp reported that he hasn't heard of any longer-term plans for Nox in some time, although she has occasionally appeared at SmackDown tapings.

Nox wrestled for various promotions including STARDOM before signing with WWE in 2017. She was substituted in the Mae Young Classic after suffering a torn ACL. Nox then competed in the 2018 Mae Young Classic. During the tournament, she suffered another serious injury when she tore her ACL, ACL, lateral collateral ligament, two meniscus tears, and dislocated her kneecap.

Nox returned to the ring again in 2019. She made a prominent appearance in NXT leading up to the 2019 WWE Survivor Series. She continued to compete in NXT over the next few months, but suffered a torn ACL in September 2020. Nox returned in July 2021 and moved to the main roster shortly after when she joined WWE SmackDown.

In 2021, Nox was drafted to WWE Raw but was released in November. She returned to WWE in December 2022 and rejoined SmackDown. Nox moved to WWE RAW again in 2023 and had a brief stint with Natalya as a tag team. She last wrestled on WWE television on the April 1, 2024 episode of WWE RAW. Nox was selected by WWE SmackDown. However, she did not wrestle in a televised fight during this run. Their last fight was a dismal bout at the July 5 taping of WWE SmackDown.
