Backstage reaction to today's WWE departures, non-compete agreements and more

As we previously reported here on WrestlingHeadlines.com, Baron Corbin, Tegan Nox and Indi Hartwell are leaving WWE.

Fightful Select reports that Corbin has been informed that his current WWE contract will not be renewed. It is said that his contract will run until the end of the year. There are reportedly several indie promoters already interested in booking him if he decides to pursue a career in the professional wrestling business. Over the course of this year, Corbin wasn't used much on WWE television, but he was backstage at the TV tapings and appeared in several dark matches.

As for Tegan Nox and Indi Hartwell, they are subject to the standard 90-day non-compete agreement. This means they will be able to work for other promotions from February 2025.

Nox has not appeared on WWE television in over six months and has not been booked for any dark matches or live events.

Employees at the company were surprised when Indi Hartwell was released. She actually has a match on tonight's episode of WWE SmackDown, which was taped last week.

Additionally Indi's “Wait what?” The tweet was outrageous and she knew about her release before the reports surfaced online. Corbin, Hartwell and Nox were all notified this afternoon.

Finally, it was added that Nox and Hartwell may need to resolve their visa situation before they can continue wrestling in the United States. However, this has not yet been confirmed.
