Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice & Juice WRLD Lead “Chapter 2 Remix” of “Fortnite Battle Royale”

From virtual music experiences headlined by The Weeknd to exclusive skins inspired by Ariana Grande, pop music and gaming have formed a symbiotic relationship Fortnite Battle Royale.

Now, with the announcement of the new season on Friday (November 1st), Fortnite wants to integrate hip-hop into its gaming universe. Arriving on Saturday (November 2nd), Fortnite Battle RoyaleThe Chapter 2 remix will feature iconic music and looks from hip-hop stars Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice and Juice WRLD. In the new season, players will be able to engage with each artist through themed venues each week in November – a first for the game. FortniteMillions of players will also be able to don custom Fortnite Shop outfits inspired by each of the four artists.

On Friday night, Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice surprised New Yorkers with a surprise appearance in Times Square, taking over almost every billboard in the center of the Big Apple. Kicking things off with her signature auburn inches and pink ensemble, Ice Spice delivered renditions of “In Ha Mood” and “Princess Diana.” Wearing a black leather jacket and pants combo, Snoop showcased the West Coast with a vibrant, Fortnite Name-checking medley of “Drop It Like It's Hot,” “The Next Episode,” “Gorgeous” and “What's My Name?” To close the show, the two hosts took the stage together to introduce the eye-catching new trailer for Chapter 2 Remix , which offers a first look at the worlds that the game's various rappers will rule over.

Snoop Dogg – who recently announced his upcoming Dr. Dre-helmed announced missionary LP (out December 13th) – will be released in the first week as the official icon of the sixth season of Fortnite. Snoop will take on a boss role and have his own mythical weapon and various landmarks on the map, as will Ice Spice, Eminem and Juice WRLD in the following weeks. “My son Cordell is tall Fortnite When we had the opportunity, we used it as a new way to connect with my sound and style,” the Long Beach rap icon said in a press release. “Anyone can be Snoop in Fortnite.”

Juice WRLD – a new generation rap star who tragically passed away on December 8, 2019 – will take over his title Fortnite The debut begins November 21st, when the “Lucid Dreams” rapper will headline the fourth week of the new season. On November 30th at 2:00 p.m. ET, Fortnite will launch a Remix: The Finale live event to celebrate Juice's legacy and love Fortnite. All players who log in between November 30th, 1:00 AM ET and December 1st, 1:00 AM ET will receive the Slayer Juice WRLD cel-shaded outfit. The party never endsJuice WRLD's latest posthumous album, out November 22nd via Grade A Productions and Interscope Records.

“You’ll see some really interesting ways to incorporate music” Emily LevyDirector of Strategic Partnerships, tells exclusively billboard. “And we release music at different times of the season in interesting places.”

Ice Spice will close out her 2024 by leading the third week (beginning November 14), where she will “involve fans in her experience as Princess of New York,” the press release states. This year, the Bronx rapper released her debut studio album – Y2K! – which peaked at No. 18 on the Billboard 200 and spawned her highest unaccompanied Billboard Hot 100 entry at No. 40 with “Think U the S–t (Fart).”

Eminem has already had a massive 2024 with the release of his novel The death of Slim Shady LP, and he will end the year with some of that success Fortnite as the featured artist for the second week of the season, which begins November 7th. The 15-time Grammy winner originally debuted in Fortnite in December 2023, which resulted in the publication of it Fortnite Radio Compilation with classics like “The Monster” and “Not Afraid”. The set peaked at number 19 on the Top Album Sales and debuted at number 8 on the Top Vinyl Albums chart dated March 30, 2024.

Sneaker culture is also closely related to hip-hop Fortnite hasn't forgotten the sneakerheads. Chapter 2 Remix will also introduce Kicks, a new type of cosmetic included in the Remix Pass that will be available in the Fortnite Shop on November 12th. The first batch of kicks will feature alongside Nike and Jordan brands Fortnite Originals.

FortniteThe new season continues a year that has already seen in-game concerts and festival performances from superstars like Karol G, Billie Eilish and Metallica.
