James led the Lakers with 14 points in the first 12 minutes while Davis contributed nine, helping their team to a 43-19 lead in the first quarter.

The Raptors began chipping away at the early lead in the second half and pulled within 11 points of the score by the end of the third quarter.

The Raptors got within six points in the fourth quarter, but free throws from Anthony Davis and Austin Reaves secured the Lakers victory.

The win was the Lakers' third since Redick took over as head coach prior to the 2024-25 season.

Davis finished the night with 12 rebounds and a game-high 38 points on 14 of 20 shooting from the field and 10 of 11 from the foul line.

James made 5 of 8 from behind the arc and contributed 27 points and 10 assists in the win.

Both RJ Barrett and Gradey Dick scored 30 points for the Raptors, but were unable to overcome James and Davis as Toronto fell to 1-5 on the season and 1-3 at home.

Davis, James and the Lakers are back in action on Monday night with another road game, this time against the 1-5 Detroit Pistons. The meeting point is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
