A Frontier Airlines plane made a fiery landing at Las Vegas airport

A Frontier Airlines plane flying from San Diego to Las Vegas was caught on camera with flames and smoke pouring from the landing gear as it landed.

According to flight tracking website FlightAware, Frontier Flight 1326 departed San Diego International promptly at 1:51 p.m. on Saturday. The Airbus A321neo landed 37 minutes late at Harry Reid International Airport at 3:37 p.m

“Surprised me,” said X user @TylerHerrick, who posted the video on social media. “Firefighters have sprayed the plane with foam, according to @liveatc they are evacuating via stairs (without blowing up slides).”

Frontier told X that the pilots encountered smoke upon landing and declared an emergency.

“The aircraft landed safely and all passengers and crew were evacuated via airstairs,” Frontier said in a statement. “No injuries were reported and passengers were taken to the terminal by buses. There were a total of 190 passengers and 7 crew members on board.”

The airline added that the cause of the fire was under investigation.

Frontier made headlines back in August when a video surfaced of a woman getting into an altercation with airline employees in Chicago, even going so far as to throw computer equipment at them.

The 31-year-old suspect was caught on video in a staff area behind a check-in counter as he engaged in verbal altercations with two women, aged 24 and 40, before knocking over various objects on a desk.

The traveler who witnessed it all told Storyful the woman “lost her mind” after missing her flight.

At the beginning of the same month a Frontier Airlines pilot arrested This led to a flight cancellation at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, authorities confirmed to Storyful. The pilot, identified by Houston police as 45-year-old Seymour Walker, was wanted for domestic violence.

Video taken by one of the passengers showed Walker being escorted off the plane by three officers as he was led in handcuffs to a patrol car. He was taken into custody before passengers boarded Flight 3195 to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
