Detroit – Tigers ticket sellers are working overtime in 2024.

With the Tigers incredibly close to advancing to the next round of the postseason, advance ticket sales for the American League Championship Series began at 10 a.m. Thursday. As with tickets to the AL Division Series against the Cleveland Guardians, priority will be given to season ticket holders. The remaining inventory will be available for sale to the general public using the access code TIGERS2024POSTSEASON. For more details, visit tigers.com.

Tickets for ALDS Games 3 and 4, the first playoff games at Comerica Park in a decade, sold out in less than an hour when they went on sale last week. The Tigers' 3-0 win in Game 3 on Wednesday drew 44,885 spectators, the largest postseason crowd in the history of Comerica Park, which opened in 2000.

General admission tickets sold for well over $100 on secondary markets.

“You could tell they were hungry for a game like this,” Matt Vierling said of the fans. “Winning it was great.”

The Tigers took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-five series against the Guardians and can advance with a win in Game 4 on Thursday night at Comerica Park or, if necessary, Game 5 on Saturday at Progressive Field in Cleveland Secure victory.

The other ALDS pits the New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals, with the Yankees taking a 2-1 lead on Wednesday. Game 4 is Thursday evening.

If the Tigers make it to the ALCS for the first time since 2013, the series would begin Monday in New York or Kansas City. Game 2 would take place on Tuesday, and Games 3, 4 and 5 would take place in Detroit from Thursday, October 17th to Saturday, October 19th.

Available tickets for games at Comerica Park start at $132 at tigers.com. It appears that tickets are only available for a handful of sections.

The Tigers themselves didn't put the cart before the horse on Wednesday, although ticket sellers need to prepare for that.

“We have a chance to finish it,” Kerry Carpenter said. “So that’s exciting.”

If the Tigers do not make it to the ALCS, fans who purchased ALCS tickets will receive a full refund or can use the money toward season tickets for 2025.
