Team India managed a win in two days when they took on Bangladesh in the final Test of the series in Kanpur. Rain and a poor drainage system at Green Pak Stadium frustrated fans and the two teams for most of the game. As India prepared to face New Zealand at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru from Wednesday, the first day presented a disappointing picture as rain washed out the first session. But unlike Kanpur, Bengaluru's excellent drainage system raises high hopes among fans.

It is already known that the Chinnaswamy outfield is of no concern to the two teams and officials as the venue's SubAir system can remove around 10,000 liters of water per minute. Play can begin approximately 60 minutes after the rain has stopped.

As the issue of Chinnaswamy's drainage system sparked discussion on social media, fans shared a brilliant video showing how effective the drainage system is at the venue.

As for the opening Test between India and New Zealand, even the toss scheduled for 9 am could not take place as relentless rain began to lash the city from morning onwards. Despite the bad weather, there were only a few spectators in the stadium.

But the only exciting moment for them was the sighting of star batter Virat Kohli and opener Yashasvi Jaiswal doing an indoor net session along with assistant coach Abhishek Nayar.

The expectation remains that a game will be possible on the first day of the series opener. While India managed to get a result in two days of matches against Bangladesh, such a result may not be possible again.
