Brad Pitt has scored a major legal victory against his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, who appears to have finally waved the white flag in their year-long divorce battle saga. An insider close to the former couple reveals that these days Jolie is more focused on moving forward and enjoying life, emulating a feeling of happiness and relaxation.

She recently dropped a lawsuit against the FBI and the Justice Department related to her troubled marriage and a private jet incident in 2016, and Pitt can finally breathe a sigh of relief as the file remains sealed.

Brad Pitt “wins big” against Angelina Jolie

Previously, Jolie was seen at two gatherings at her Atelier Jolie studio and walked the red carpet at the New York Film Festival with her children Pax, Zahara and Maddox. The Maleficent star seemed “really relaxed and happy,” the insider claimed, adding: “It's like she's turned over a new leaf.”

While Pitt's team insists they have already received all the details from the reports, they always suspected that Jolie's legal escapades were just her way of tarnishing his reputation. However, as the source suggests, Jolie's decision to drop the lawsuit signals a possible end to the former couple's legal battle, which has now lasted over eight years since their split.

Angelina Jolie has “finally given in”

Angelina Jolie, who uses the pseudonym “Jane Doe,” officially dropped her 2022 lawsuit against the FBI and the Justice Department on September 25, but her separate legal battle over the French winery Château Miraval remains in court.

However, the latest move brought relief to Brad Pitt as the FBI file remains sealed despite previous leaks. A source told InTouch that it appears Jolie has “finally given in.”

The lawsuit centered on the infamous private jet altercation in 2016 that led to the breakdown of their marriage. According to the FBI report, Pitt, 60, argued with his son Maddox before boarding, was drunk and “imitated the behavior of a monster” by yelling at his family. Jolie, 49, remembers feeling “frozen and scared” and leaving both her and the children traumatized. She said she suffered two minor injuries in the incident.

In the countersuit, the 60-year-old admitted to struggling with alcohol but strongly denied ever hitting any of the children. The LA County Department of Children and Family Services investigated the matter and found him not guilty and no charges were filed. However, Angelina filed a Freedom of Information Act request to obtain all related documents, saying an FBI agent wrote a probable cause statement but that prosecutors chose not to act on it.

Since only two of her children are minors, these legal disputes have largely come to an end. “Technically it’s a win for Brad,” says a source, “but the damage is already done.”

Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie's 'new' love interest

Brad Pitt has been in a romantic relationship with Ines De Ramon, 34, since November 2022. Meanwhile, rumors are circulating about a possible romantic connection between Angelina Jolie and American rapper Akala. Although there is no official confirmation, recent sightings of the two together have fueled speculation about their relationship status.

Meanwhile, several of Jolie and Pitt's children, including their biological children Shiloh and Vivienne, have reportedly given up Pitt's last name and adopted their mother's instead, leaving the actor “heartbroken.” The former couple has six children together: Shiloh, Pax Thien, Vivienne, Knox Léon, Zahara Marley and Maddox Chivan.
