AP Top 25 Poll Prediction for Week 10

As we examine the damage from Saturday's final games, let's look ahead to the AP Top 25 college football rankings ahead of Week 10

Who is moving up? Who is moving down?

Note: This is not our ranking of the best teams, but our prediction of how the top 25 voters will place them in Sunday's official poll

Exit: Navy, Missouri, Vanderbilt, Illinois

25. Memphis. Frankly, there aren't many other teams for voters to choose from at the bottom of this week's rankings, as potential ballot candidates who received votes last week also lost their games, but the Tigers could get some votes after they go up Moved up to 7th place. 1 and is in fourth place in the AAC standings.

24. Tulane. The same goes for the Green Wave, which could benefit from a lack of other obviously ranked teams but is tied for second place in the AAC and has a five-game winning streak.

23.Colorado. Shedeur Sanders passed for more than 300 yards and Travis Hunter caught two touchdown passes as the Buffaloes cruised past Cincinnati to post six wins for the first time since 2016. They took an important step in the right direction in Big 12 play with Deion Sanders' sophomore year going 4-1.

22. Washington State. John Mateer led two fourth-quarter touchdown drives, taking the late San Diego State lead and lifting the Cougars to a 7-1 record, the only blemish being a loss to top-ranked Boise State.

21st Army. This weekend, the Black Knights are first nationally in rushing yards and last nationally in passing yards per game. After Navy was beaten, they solidified their position atop the AAC standings with a game against Air Force next Saturday, the Notre Dame team that beat the Midshipmen two weeks later.

20. SMU. Despite suffering six turnovers at Duke and needing overtime, the Mustangs pulled out a narrow victory, their third road win, and moved to 7-1 with a matchup against unbeaten Pitt next.

19. Ole Miss. Despite trailing at halftime, the Rebels came back, holding the Sooners scoreless in the second half and scoring 16 unanswered points as Jaxson Dart surpassed 300 yards passing and in SEC play with a game at Arkansas and home against Georgia 2-2 advanced the week after.

18. LSU. Garrett Nussmeier helped the Tigers to a 17-7 halftime lead over Texas A&M, but his three interceptions and a few special teams fumbles led to just six second-half points and their first loss in SEC play when Alabama next Weekend comes to Death Valley.

17. Pittsburgh. The Panthers picked off Kyle McCord five times and returned three of those interceptions for touchdowns in a defensive blitzkrieg that ravaged Syracuse and kept that team undefeated and in the thick of the ACC title race in early November.

16. Boise State. Even on a relatively slow night, Ashton Jeanty ran for 128 yards and the game-winning touchdown as the Broncos pulled past UNLV, still atop the Mountain West and with one, in a critical road test for this Group of Five playoff hopeful 3-point loss to current No. 1 Oregon the only mistake on his record.

15. Kansas State. Avery Johnson played turnover-free football and the Wildcats ran for 226 yards to narrowly hold off rival Kansas. That moved them to 4-1 in Big 12 play and still atop the conference with a date in Houston next week, the first of three games against unranked opponents before the finale at league rival Iowa State.

14.Alabama. The Crimson Tide recovered from a slow start to run for 271 yards and 4 touchdowns, forcing 3 Missouri turnovers and improving to 3-2 in SEC play with an eye on a date at LSU.

13.Indiana. A 67-yard pick-six set the tone for the Hoosiers, who dominated Washington at home, moving to 8-0 for the first time since 1967 and becoming one of two teams nationally to never trail Playoff participation is getting closer and closer this season.

12. Notre Dame. Forcing 6 turnovers in a loss to an undefeated Navy team is an important step forward for the Irish as they continue to bounce back from the NIU loss. Since then they have now won 6 games in a row by an average of 31 points, giving the selection committee more points to work with.

11. Iowa State. This weekend, the Cyclones needed some late-game heroics to beat UCF and stay undefeated the week before, and while this team is strong in most defensive situations, their run stopping is a concern, second-worst in the conference , something to fear Watch as they face two of the Big 12's best rushing teams over the next few weeks.

10.BYU. After a remarkable test in a cross-country road game against a talented UCF team, the Cougars went 17-0 and remained undefeated at 8-0, scoring over 30 points in 6 straight games and are still right in the thick of things a crowded Big 12 title hunt and with it the College Football Playoff race.

9. Clemson. The Tigers are idle in Week 9 and are on a six-game winning streak since losing Game 1. During that time, they put up a total of 164 points and won those games by an average of 27 points behind the No. 8 offense and remained atop the ACC standings heading into a home game next weekend against Louisville.

8. Texas A&M. Marcel Reed came off the bench and ran for three touchdowns to lead an impressive comeback win against LSU. That left the Aggies undefeated in SEC play and atop the conference standings, looking very much like a playoff team.

7. Tennessee. The Vols are idle this weekend, sitting at 6-1 on a short list of SEC title contenders. They play some of the best defenses in college football and have not allowed more than 17 points in a game all season, with just one game at Georgia being the only major test on their schedule.

6.Miami. Cam Ward threw for 208 yards and even caught a TD pass, while Damien Martinez rushed for 148 yards and 2 scores in a big win over the Seminoles that leaves the Hurricanes undefeated and the favorites in the ACC title game with no teams left The last four games remain in the rankings.

5.Texas. Quinn Ewers had 3 touchdown passes but also 2 interceptions, and the Longhorns only scored 6 points in the second half and allowed a late touchdown, making it a 3-point game, but sneaked past Vanderbilt with the narrow win over and advanced to 3-. 1 in SEC play, Florida goes to Austin next.

4. Ohio State. Ryan Day is 45-0 against unranked opponents, but a close and very ugly win against Nebraska once again exposed some weak spots in the defense, so next week we'll have another monster road trip against Penn State that will tell us more about the Top of the Big Ten will be revealed.

3. Penn State. There is some concern about starting quarterback Drew Allar after he left Saturday's win at Wisconsin with an injury, but backup Beau Pribula played well in relief and scored the go-ahead touchdown to keep the team undefeated heading into this game against the Buckeyes to keep.

2. Georgia. This week, the Bulldogs are on a roll after picking up a decisive win at then-No. No. 1 Texas and after the game against Florida have another big road date at Ole Miss before hosting Tennessee the following week, which will be a key proving point for this team at the end of the season.

1.Oregon. Dillon Gabriel moved into second all-time in college football history in passing yards and touchdowns as the Ducks surpassed 500 total yards in a dominant win over Illinois, and now we're rejoicing for a date in Michigan next weekend.
