Something Evil this way is coming.

Last night Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo paid homage to their characters in Evil Premiere in Sydney, Australia. The duo play Glinda and Elphaba in the upcoming Jon M. Chu film adaptation of the successful Broadway musical and underline their on-screen roles with elaborate, costumed costumes.

For the occasion, Grande slipped into a pink ball gown by Vivienne Westwood Couture, the design of which wasn't far removed from what the actor wears as Glinda in the film. Layers of pink and peach tulle formed a voluminous skirt, while the dress's corseted bodice was embellished with pink rhinestone starburst detailing (commonly seen in Westwood's collections since 2010). Sheer puffed sleeves completed the fairytale silhouette and reached to Grande's wrists.

The pop star continued the whimsical theme by accessorizing with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, including a butterfly-shaped diamond-encrusted choker and a matching ring. Diamond earrings completed her look, and she wore her blonde hair half up, half down, leaving a strand hanging down one side of her face. Her soft glam included dusty pink eyeshadow and a glossy pink lip.

For her part, Erivo leaned into her character Elphaba's witch look with a similarly dramatic look. She wore a strapless black Louis Vuitton dress and made sure to show off the dress's sculptural silhouette. A massive bow at the back of the dress gave her outfit some extra edge, and the design's pointed ends accentuated her hips. The dress's billowing skirt was contrasted by the corseted bodice, which accentuated the minimalist square neckline with a small notch.

A thick black choker adorned with a large diamond brooch by Roberto Coin completed Erivo's look. She accessorized with iridescent green sunglasses, silver hoop earrings, and a handful of silver diamond rings (also from Roberto Coin). While keeping her glam natural, she showcased a gorgeous green manicure that showed off her character. As she posed with Grande on the Yellow Brick Road carpet, the two shared a loving hug, proving that their friendship extended off-screen as well.
