Ariana Grande responds to Elvira's claim that the singer turned down a photo shoot

Ariana Grande responded this week to Elvira's recent claim that the singer once refused a photo with her.

Horror Hostess character actress Elvira, real name Cassandra Peterson, recently went viral when she said at a Knotts Berry Farm event that one of her worst celebrity encounters occurred when Grande invited a large group of friends and family to an Elvira performance and then refused to take a photo with Peterson.

“I'll tell you briefly…she came and brought 20 guests, so she wanted 20, 21 tickets,” the actress, also known as Mistress of the Dark, says in a video shared online and later posted by Peterson became. “We say 'Okay' and give her the tickets. She comes backstage and asks me if I could take pictures with all of her friends and family that she brought with her.”

Peterson continues in the video by saying that she complied with the request and also signed autographs for the group. “Then I say to her, 'Can we take a picture together?' She says, 'No, I don't actually do that,'” she says. Peterson went on to say that Grande left the show before Elvira's set, leaving the rest of the group in the audience.

In a social media comment on Elvira's post, Grande responded to Peterson's claim, writing, “I'm so disheartened to see this.” In fact, I don't even remember having the opportunity to meet you because I have a had an anxiety attack and as I remember I left before the rest of my family (this was about 7 years ago and at the time I really wasn't that good at public crowds or noisy places)… but if I'm misremembering that moment, I apologize “I sincerely thank you for insulting you like that.”
