Bengals shock rookie Jermaine Burton into inactivity in Week 9 vs. Raiders

The Cincinnati Bengals pulled off a shock Sunday ahead of Week 9 against the Las Vegas Raiders by inactive highly touted rookie wideout Jermaine Burton.

The complete list of inactive players the Bengals issued:

• WR Tee Higgins

• WR Charlie Jones

• RB Zack Moss

• OT Orlando Brown Jr.

• WR Jermaine Burotn

• TE Tanner McLachlan

• DT Jay Tufele

No word on why Burton isn't active – but he should get a significant increase in his playing time this week with the loss of Tee Higgins.

Joe Burrow even called for Burton to get more playing time, and Burton isn't on the injury report, so there must be reason why.

Also of note, the Bengals demoted Zack Moss to retirement on Sunday morning after he suffered a neck injury on Friday.
