Big 12 Announces 2024-25 Men's Basketball Schedule – BYU Athletics – Official Athletics Site

IRVING, Texas – The Big 12 Conference released its 2024-25 schedule Thursday morning, revealing the dates of the Cougars' 20-game league schedule. The announcement finalizes BYU's 31-game regular season schedule, which begins Nov. 5 against Central Arkansas at the Marriott Center.

BYU hosts Arizona State in the Big 12 opener on New Year's Eve, the first meeting between the two teams in Provo since the Cougars' 81-68 victory on December 8, 2009. The Cougars travel to Houston on Saturday, January 4. for the first time since TJ Haws' winner in the 2019-20 season. They return home to host Texas Tech on Tuesday, January 7th.

The Cougars will put their 17-game winning streak over TCU on the line on Saturday, Jan. 11, when they travel to Schollmaier Arena for the first time since a 79-56 victory on Feb. 19, 2011.

Oklahoma State comes to town on Tuesday, January 14th before BYU travels north to face Utah on Saturday, January 18th. It will be the first conference showdown between the two rivals since a Mountain West Conference matchup on Feb. 12. 2011, a 72-59 win for the Cougars.

A trip to the Centennial State on Tuesday, Jan. 21 to face Colorado will be followed by BYU's first two-game homestand in conference play. The fifth all-time meeting will take place against Cincinnati on Saturday, January 25th, with Baylor traveling to Provo for the ninth time on Tuesday, January 28th.

Three of the Cougars' next four games will be on the road, all in the Eastern Time Zone. BYU travels to the site of its first-ever Big 12 win, UCF, on Saturday, February 1, before hosting Arizona at the Marriott Center on Tuesday, February 4. On Saturday, February 4, they travel to Cincinnati for the first time since 1931. 8, followed by a matchup between the first-year head coaches on Feb. 11 at West Virginia.

BYU returns to the friendly confines of the Marriott Center for the second straight season, beginning with Kansas State on Saturday, February 15. The Jayhawks of Kansas make their second trip to Provo and first visit to the Marriott Center on Tuesday, February 19th.

The Cougars begin their two-game road trip by returning to the McKale Center to face Arizona on Saturday, February 22nd for the first time since Jimmer Fredette's 49-point performance. They face Arizona State on Wednesday, February 26th in Tempe, Arizona before hosting West Virginia for the first time in Provo on Saturday, March 1st.

BYU concludes the regular season on Tuesday, March 4, at Iowa State and on Saturday, March 8, at home against Utah.

The Big 12 Conference Tournament will take place March 11-15 at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City, Missouri.

Tipping times and viewing dates will be announced at a later date.
