Billie Eilish and Finneas are “obsessed” with Halloween; Mom Maggie Baird reveals family traditions from her childhood

Billie Eilish and Finneas are at the top of the list for Halloween, according to her mother Maggie Baird, as she revealed how her family celebrated the holiday when the music prodigies were kids. Speaking to People on Tuesday, October 8, at the Paradise Club, Times Square EDITION in New York City, Baird, 65, shared that her children are “obsessed” with Halloween.

The actress and mother of Eilish, 22, and Finneas, 27, also revealed that her family threw huge Halloween parties at their home by turning their modest garage into a haunted house. At that time, the family's daily menu consisted mainly of donuts from the local plant-based donut shop. “Haunted houses and Halloween parties were a big part of her childhood,” Baird said.

At the event, Baird was honored as part of Glamour's Women of the Year: The Moms issue, out October 3. She was on the cover of the magazine alongside Travis and Jason Kelce's mother, Donna Kelce, 72; Selena Gomez and Gracie Teefey's mother Mandy Teefey, 48; and Beyoncé and Solange's mother, Tina Knowles, 70.

As for Eilish and Finneas' reactions to her honor, Baird said they sent her flowers when the issue came out, which left them surprised since she hadn't shared the news with them. “I'm a bit quiet about things like this. That's really not my comfort zone,” Baird told People, acknowledging how ironic it was because she's a professional actress and comedian.

As for the things she feels comfortable doing, Baird told the publication that she feels most comfortable delivering food and speaking about her passionate concerns about the climate. Baird founded Support + Feed in 2020 to combat food shortages and climate change.

On Tuesday, according to the aforementioned outlet, Baird wore sustainable fashion and revealed that her OOTN was made by SUAY, which uses recycled material to make clothing.
