Billion-dollar company moves headquarters from New Jersey to North Texas

North Texas is getting another new corporate center – and it's helping customers around the world see and hear better with thoughtful design and technology.

Diversified, which specializes in audiovisual and media services, has moved its global headquarters to Plano, according to a statement. The company, which has annual sales of more than $1 billion, was previously headquartered in New Jersey, a spokesman said.

The new headquarters offers easy access to DFW International Airport and the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area, the company said. The “central location” helps Diversified attract top talent from the region while at the same time ensuring accessibility for customers and partners, including worldwide.

Diversified designs and builds “experiential environments” in spaces that include media organizations, retailers, sports venues and corporate locations. For example, earlier this year it was announced that a sound system would be built at Oracle Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. It also worked on digital signage for Lululemon and Armani Exchange. Other customers include the National Football League and Microsoft.

Companies from around the world are moving their headquarters to the Dallas area as, like Diversified, they seek a central location and access to talent. For example, Simplilearn, which offers digital skills training, moved its U.S. hub from San Francisco to Plano, near the Dallas North Tollway and Texas Highway 121. A technology company earlier this year relocated from Indiana.

Diversified's new website is designed to support growth in key markets and serve as a showcase for the technologies the company develops and builds for customers. The company will move into the new headquarters with more than 40 locations worldwide and around 2,600 employees, according to the website.

“This new headquarters is a working example of what we do best – integrating advanced technology into functional spaces,” Diversified CEO Eric Hutto said in the statement. “It aims to demonstrate how modern technology can adapt to the needs of any business and provide our customers with an interactive space in which they can see the practical benefits of the solutions we provide.”

The facilities include a foyer entrance with a large LED wall with direct viewing, which is controlled via a touch panel or a wireless interface. It can display dynamic content curated by Diversified's creative teams. The main conference room is equipped with two displays – and optimized for collaboration with Microsoft Teams Room and AI-powered cameras.
