Bills and Vikings reach top three! The commanders soar while the 49ers fall

Here's the problem with the power rankings: Six 0-2 teams won their first game of the season on Sunday, including our 31st and 32nd ranked teams from last week. Four teams lost 0-2, three of which fell by double digits.

The Patriots, Cowboys and Dolphins were among the more impressive Week 1 winners. Since then, they are 0-6.

The Saints appeared to be the NFL's most formidable team for two weeks, averaging 45.5 points per game, then lost at home in Week 3, scoring just 12 points.

The Buccaneers scored 57 points in their first two games … followed by seven on Sunday at home against the Broncos, who doubled their season points total with the win.

The Raiders defeated reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and the Ravens in Baltimore, then lost at home to Andy Dalton and the previously winless Panthers.

Does this mean we have to prepare for the 3-0 Vikings and Steelers to soon hit the wall? It's hard to say in this regard, but Sam Darnold and Justin Fields are off to a great start in a weak QB year across the league. Meanwhile, Malik Willis and Dalton each played hero QB roles off the bench in the road win.

Then Monday night happened. The Bills dismantled the now 0-3 Jaguars. The 2:1(!) Commanders secured an incredible victory in Cincinnati and also sent the Bengals to 0:3.

Do you see a trend here? Very little makes sense at the moment. Please be patient with us during this difficult time.
