Boycott Big Noon Kickoff: An Open Letter to Penn State Students

Boycott Big Noon Kickoff: An Open Letter to Penn State Students

Guys, if there's one thing I hate more than a hangover or a bad test grade, it's the midday kickoff of a college football game. FOX has done us, the Penn State community, dirty several times.

They did us dirty with West Virginia.

They did us dirty at Bowling Green.

They did us dirty with UCLA.

Our friends on the West Coast were done with USC.

And once again they're doing us dirty with Ohio State.

The stakes of this game are priceless. No. 4 at No. 3. The ten most important implications are at stake. The College Football Playoff standings are at stake. One thing is clear: this game should be a night game.

The Penn State community can come together here. FOX has enjoyed bringing out the fun of tailgating and the atmosphere that Beaver Stadium offers by putting us to the test with several noon games already. And now, in the biggest game of the year, it's happening again. Unacceptable.

I ask you, Penn State students, to boycott the Big Noon Kickoff. Don't show up. Imagine Urban Meyer warming up the “crowd”. Guys, call the crickets. Chirp, chirp.

There would be no better response to our kick-off time being screwed up than for their drone to fly over the expected “crowd” and fans around the world who were expecting a large crowd, only to see absolutely no one. Please point out the crickets again.

The only attention Big Noon Kickoff's show should get is the overheard commotion in the background as Pat McAfee presents $100,000 to a lucky student. Oh, and when Keegan-Michael Key announces to the world that he's picking Penn State to beat Ohio State too.

Boycott the Big Noon Kickoff.

Thank you for your time.

We are.

Shock. The. World.
