Buffalo Bills RB Ray Davis was named NFLPA Community MVP for Week 9

Buffalo Bills rookie running back Ray Davis was named NFLPA Community MVP of Week 9 after his continued commitment to working with Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of America now in his NFL -Hometown Buffalo, where he works with youth advocacy groups in Western New York and his hometown of San Francisco, California.

Davis partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Buffalo to host an event at Highmark Stadium for the program's mentors and mentees. Working with Big Brothers Big Sisters is a true passion project for Davis, who grew up in the foster care system and achieved his dreams thanks to the care he received. As a national advocate for BBBS, Davis hopes to share his experiences in any way he can with at-risk children who have similar life experiences to his own.

Davis made the most of his opportunities through BBBS and overcame significant challenges that led to him becoming homeless at the age of 12. The mentorship he received through BBBS left a lifelong impression on Davis, who was dubbed a “Game Changer” by the organization for his commitment to creating awareness, access and opportunity through mentorship.

Davis is just the fourth rookie to earn the NFLPA Community MVP award since the program's inception 11 years ago.
