A lingering injury to Juraj Slafkovský has forced the third-year winger out of the lineup. In his place comes Kirby Dach from the second center line. And Badger's spot will be taken by Oliver Kapanen, promoted from his typical fourth-line duties, although it may be the experienced third line that sees the second-most minutes tonight.

The defense will remain the same as the Canadiens' against the New York Islanders, which was a pretty solid first 40 minutes for the Habs and their best performance of the season so far. Everyone will have to do their best to cope with the absences of Slafkovský and Kaiden Guhle, and we will see how the changes to the lineups affect Martin St-Louis.
