Carlos Boozer's sons commit to play at Duke – NBC Los Angeles

Cameron and Cayden Boozer follow father Carlos Boozer's path and play basketball for Duke.

The twin brothers, who are both five-star prospects, announced their commitment Friday in a video posted on The Players' Tribune.

Cameron is a 6-foot-2 power forward who is ranked No. 2 among college prospects in ESPN's Top 100. Cayden is a 6-foot-2 guard who is ranked 17th according to ESPN.

The Boozer brothers are Duke's first commitment for the Class of 2025. The two continue a strong recruiting streak for third-year Blue Devils coach Jon Scheyer, who succeeded five-time national champion coach Mike Krzyzewski after the 2021-22 season .

The Blue Devils have signed the best class of players in the country for this season, led by No. 1 recruit, 6-foot-2 Cooper Flagg, who is considered the top pick in next year's NBA draft should he commit decide to drop out of college.

Along with Flagg, Scheyer added 6-foot-7 Isaiah Foster (No. 15 according to ESPN), 6-foot-5 Kon Knueppal (No. 19) and 6-foot-10 Pat Ngongba (No. 26 ) added. and 6-foot-4 Darren Harris (No. 31).

The Boozer brothers' father, Carlos, played at Duke from 1999 to 2002 and was part of the Blue Devils' 2001 national championship team.

He was selected in the first round by Cleveland in the 2002 NBA Draft and spent 13 seasons in the league with the Cavaliers, Utah, Chicago and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Boozer told ESPN he was proud of his sons.

“You made the best decision for her. Me and my mom couldn’t be prouder,” the elder Boozer said. “It’s going to be a fun trip.”
