As Veterans Day approaches, Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro Mayorkas invites all personnel to participate in a special celebration of our nation's heroes. This year's Veterans Day program is designed not only as a ceremonial event, but as a powerful reminder of the enduring courage, sacrifice and commitment of the brave men and women who have served our country. Her legacy is one of loyalty, resilience and an unwavering commitment to protecting the values ​​we hold dear – freedom, security and justice.

The theme of this year's program, “A Legacy of Loyalty and Service,” perfectly captures the enduring commitment of our veterans and the critical role they play in shaping our nation's future. As a key component of the Department of Homeland Security, we recognize that many of our personnel, both past and present, have served in various branches of the military. Their commitment to protecting our country on and off the battlefield remains a cornerstone of our mission today.

Event details

At the Veterans Day event, Secretary Mayorkas and Coast Guard Commandant Admiral Linda Fagan will deliver leadership remarks. The day's events also include musical performances and guest speaker, Lt. Gen. Gina Grosso (Air Force Officer).
