Indianapolis Colts quarterback Joe Flacco is set to receive a raise of up to $3.1 million if the team is successful with him in the starting lineup. Flacco was announced this week as the team's starter for the remainder of the season in place of Anthony Richardson. Flacco's base salary is $4.5 million, according to Spotrac, so the incentives could give him a raise of nearly 70%.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero shared Flacco's incentives on X. This is how much more money Flacco can earn as the Colts' new starting quarterback:

>> Flacco will receive $100,000 for every game in which he plays at least 50% of the snaps and the team wins. He has already earned $200,000 with this incentive for wins over Pittsburgh and Tennessee. Maximum Bonus: $1.1 million.

>> Flacco will receive a bonus for all of his playing time during the season if the Colts make the playoffs. At 30% it is $250,000, at 40% it is $500,000, at 50% it is $750,000 and at 60% it is $1,000,000. He's already played 39.7% of the snaps, so he won't have a problem hitting 60% when he starts the rest of the season. If the Colts make the playoffs… Maximum Bonus: 1 million dollars.

>> Once the Colts are in the playoffs, Flacco will receive $250,000 for every game the team wins in which he plays 50% of the snaps. If the Colts win the Super Bowl without the No. 1 seed… Maximum Bonus: 1 million dollars.

This is all assuming that Flacco does not skydive, hang glide, climb a mountain, participate in an automobile race, ride a motorcycle, scuba dive, ski or participate in any martial arts, boxing or wrestling prohibited by the contract.

What is a more realistic bonus? The Colts win 6 more games, make the playoffs and lose in the first round; This would bring the bonuses to a total of $1,800,000.
