“Confidence at all-time high” for Cardinals pass rush

For Collins, Sunday's game was exactly what the team had imagined the defense would be, even after Dennis Gardeck, BJ Ojulari, Justin Jones and Bilal Nichols were sidelined by injuries this season.

“There have been games in the past where you go back and watch the film and it's just one misstep or you get to the move a little quicker where it could be like that,” Collins said. “It's about addressing these things, the finer details of things, because we knew we weren't far off.”

Defensive lineman Dante Stills pointed out every defensive stall in the locker room while containing the pressure. He said a performance like that in a game where Stills extended his sack streak to three games only builds confidence.

“I feel like I’m taking my game to a new level,” Stills said. “My head is like, ‘(expletive). Just go out there and play your ass off and everything will fall into place.'”

When LJ Collier was asked about the uproar surrounding the Cardinals' lack of a pass rush in previous games, he interrupted with some colorful words, saying that social media was “all talk.”

Stills doubled down on Collier's claim. The story has been put on hold for now.

“We see all this stuff on social media about how they doubt us and stuff like that,” Stills said. “But at the end of the day, every Sunday is an opportunity to silence anyone who talks down to us.”

They will have another chance to continue to prove they are right when they welcome the Jets to town. Work for this match begins on Monday.

“(Confidence) is at an all-time high,” Thomas said. “We know what we have on our side and we know what we are capable of as long as we are prepared every week.”
