Dak Prescott sparks a civil war on social media with a terrible first half against the Lions

Dak Prescott sparks a civil war on social media with a terrible first half against the Lions

The Dallas Cowboys are on pace for an 0-3 home start this season as the Detroit Lions pressure them in Arlington.

Dallas was terrible in every way as the defense gave up 27 points and the offense only put up six points. While every player on the team deserves criticism, Dak Prescott remains the main topic of conversation.

That's often the case with Prescott, the highest-paid player in the league. He also holds the most visible position as signal caller for America's Team. That's why it's not uncommon to see fans pitting themselves against each other on social media, which was the case after a frustrating first half against the Lions. Here's a look at some of the more extreme reactions on Twitter.

Most fans go straight for the salary, which is the norm in sports. It doesn't help for Prescott, as Jerry Jones tries to blame Prescott for the lack of offseason moves – which is an unfair claim.

However, not everyone is mad at Prescott. There are still those who believe that the players around him are letting him down. One example was when Jake Ferguson failed to defend a pass that hit him in both hands.

Dallas is in danger of falling to 3-3 this season and will face a lot of criticism if they don't make a big comeback.
