Head coach Kyle Shanahan said Samuel had “difficulty breathing,” which led to his ejection from the game.

“Sore throat, stomach, just really tired,” Shanahan said after the game. “He was having a hard time breathing, he couldn't catch his breath… He kept trying to get through it. But when he had problems with breathing and everything, we had to shut him down.”
