Demi Moore is completely unrecognizable in new photos from The Substance

As celebrities all over social media post pictures of their over-the-top Halloween costumes, Demi Moore didn't need a new disguise to get into the scary mood.

The 61-year-old actress shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos from filming her horror film on Instagram on Thursday, October 31 The substance– and fans loved getting a look at the spooky prosthetics.

In the first snapshot, Moore stared into the camera wearing glasses as an older version of her character in the film, Elisabeth Sparkle. The second shot showed the upper body of the costume with an excess of loose skin.

For a third picture, Moore posed in a parking lot, wearing the top half of her prosthetics over green gym shorts and holding her small dog, Pilaf. In the final photo, Moore (as Elisabeth) was covered in fake blood.

“Spoiler alert 🚨 I've been keeping these gems from @trythesubstance and today seems like the right day to share them. Happy Halloween from Elisabeth Sparkle 🧪THE SUBSTANCE is officially streaming on @mubi today!” Moore captioned her post.

Moore's followers couldn't get enough of the bloody images.

“Pretty iconic if you ask me,” one fan wrote.

“Hahaha you are so epic 🙌😂,” another person declared.

Another Instagram user wondered what Pilaf thought of her costume.

“😂Did Pilaf know it was you!?” they wanted to know.

In The substanceElisabeth Sparkle is a TV fitness trainer who is fired from her job because of her age – and then turns to black market drugs to create a younger version of herself (played by Margaret Qualley).
