Dennis Allen is on his longest losing streak in a season

The New Orleans Saints have lost seven games in a row, most recently against the Carolina Panthers. This is the hottest seat Dennis Allen has ever had, according to outsiders, and the pressure from the front office is mounting at this point.

This is the longest losing streak in a single season of Allen's coaching career. As coach of the Raiders, he suffered six losses in his first two seasons, but never reached seven losses in one year.

Allen's longest appearance lasted 10 games and spanned two seasons. This led to his departure from Oakland. He hasn't made it to 10 games yet, but it's possible if Allen even makes it that far.

Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football reported that “everything is on the line after this loss,” including a firing. The bye week always seemed to be the point at which a decision about Allen's future would be made. That loss to Carolina could have been the straw that broke the camel's back.
