Denzel Washington's tip to leave the parties “before the devil gets there” resurfaces after Diddy's arrest

According to a new report, Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington once had a heated confrontation with Sean “Diddy” Combs during a late-night party the rapper hosted in 2003.

An insider described as someone who was “friends” with Combs in the early 2000s told Us Weekly that Washington “yelled, 'You don't respect nobody,'” before he and his wife Pauletta “stormed out.” be an event.

The source added, “(Denzel and his wife Pauletta) had been partying until dawn (with Diddy) and they saw something and stormed out.”

This revelation comes at a time when Combs is facing serious legal problems. The rapper was arrested on charges of sex trafficking, extortion and promoting prostitution.

He pleaded not guilty to all charges. Combs' parties, notorious for their wild and lavish atmosphere, have long attracted A-listers like Washington.

However, this incident suggests that not all participants were happy with what transpired behind closed doors.

While Washington has never publicly commented on Combs' get-togethers, comedian Brandon T. Jackson shared that the actor once advised him to leave Hollywood parties early, saying, “You leave 30 minutes before the devil gets there.” “OK?” Jackson made the remark on the “Breaking the Machine” podcast in January, and the clip has since gone viral following Combs' arrest.

Other celebrities, including Marlon Wayans, have shared the sentiment about leaving Combs' parties early.

Meanwhile, Dr. LaJoyce Brookshire, a former publicity executive at Clive Davis' Arista Records, said “safety” was always a concern at Combs' parties.

“My senses were always on high alert,” Brookshire said during a TMZ special called “The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment.” “After a certain hour there is no safety when drinks are flowing freely and people are doing drugs behind you in the toilets… Did I see that? No. I never stayed at the party long enough to see it.”

As Combs awaits trial, these past incidents raise questions about long-standing behavior at his high-profile events.
