Derrick Henry is off to a historic start with the Ravens

Henry's greatest contribution was once again that he was the finisher. With the Ravens taking a touchdown lead with two minutes and 48 seconds left, the game wasn't over yet. Until Henry made a 27-yard run with a left-handed throw.

It was a similar play to the one Henry ripped off for 51 yards in overtime last week in Cincinnati to set up Justin Tucker's game-winning field goal.

Henry said he prides himself on being a “finisher,” which is exactly the role the Ravens envisioned for Henry when they signed him.

“I definitely want to be able to finish the game so we can win and everyone is happy and everyone in the locker room is high-fiving,” Henry said. “That’s what you have to be proud of – being able to finish games and having the ball at the end.”

The Ravens are on a four-game winning streak. Aside from the blowout victory over the Bills, which Henry kicked off with an 87-yard touchdown run on the Raven's first play, they finished the other three (in Dallas, in Cincinnati and against the Commanders) on the ground.

“In the fourth quarter, when it's time for us to run the ball and get a first down, that's how we have to finish games. That’s what good teams do,” center Tyler Linderbaum said.

“I think teams preach (finishing) all the time, but he's definitely a guy that can absolutely do it just based on his size and speed. He’s fun to play with, and then having (Jackson) back is a challenge for the defense.”

Commanders linebacker Dante Fowler Jr. said the Ravens' offense did “exactly everything we expected them to do.” Baltimore still managed 484 yards of offense and Henry still steamrolled them.

“You gotta do what you gotta do,” Fowler said of Henry. “He is an elusive and electric player. So when you get him, you have to hold on to him.”

Henry doesn't want to talk too much about the Ravens' rushing attack. But the question is: can anyone actually stop it?
