Detroit Lions Week 8 game against the Tennessee Titans

The Detroit Lions return home after an extended absence from the friendly Ford Field.

Detroit last played at home against Seattle in Week 4 on September 30, which was followed by a bye week and back-to-back road games. Now Dan Campbell's group returns to Ford Field to take on the Tennessee Titans.

After conquering the road environments in Dallas and Minnesota, the Lions will be welcomed back into what is expected to be a loud environment in Sunday's game.

“It does. It feels like forever. We get out of the bye, we get two away games. Look, every once in a while it feels good to go away,” Campbell said on FOX-2 Game Day Live. “But, man, it’s time to go back home. It feels right. Step in front of our audience and that's a good opponent. I know the balance sheet doesn't say that, we have to be ready to go and we will be.

The Lions' task will be to avoid falling victim to a potential trap game, as the Titans enter Sunday's game with a record of 1-5.

The Titans traded two key players earlier this week, wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins and linebacker Ernest Jones IV, and will start backup quarterback Mason Rudolph for the second straight season. Starter Will Levis was declared inactive for the second straight game.

However, the defense is one of the best in the NFL and features key players like Harold Landry, Jeffrey Simmons and Kenneth Murray.

1:08 p.m. – Trevor Nowaske records the first interception of his career catching Mason Rudolph. The Lions take over at the Tennessee 23-yard line.

1:04 p.m. – The Lions score a three-pointer on their first possession and are forced to punt. The Lions almost force a takeaway as the ball is fumbled by the Titans returner. The Titans take over at their own 15-yard line.

1:02 p.m. – The Lions will get the ball first after Tennessee wins the throw and defers.

12:30 p.m. – The Lions' defense will rely on players like James Houston, Al-Quadin Muhammad and Isaiah Thomas defensively as Josh Paschal was among the team's inactives in Sunday's game.
