“Here’s little Sparty. All green, you know. Shoutout D-Book, man. Came through the clutch for the guys. We here,” Michigan State redshirt freshman Jeremey Fears Jr. said in the video.

Here's another look at Booker's new Michigan State Spartans Nike Book 1 PE, which the Spartans received on Tuesday:

Booker chose to play college basketball at Kentucky for then-Wildcats coach John Calipari over Izzo at Michigan State and Missouri. He spent the first year of his high school career at Grandville High School in Grandville, Michigan before transferring to Moss Point, Mississippi for his final three seasons.

As a senior, he averaged 30.9 points per game for Moss Point and was named a McDonald's All-American before heading to Lexington to play for the Wildcats. Booker reported for the NBA, where he was selected 13th overall by the Phoenix Suns in the 2015 NBA Draft after one season at Kentucky.

Booker is entering his tenth season in the NBA, all with Phoenix. The 6-foot-2 guard helped USA Basketball win gold at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris last summer.

In the preseason poll conducted by The Columbus Dispatch and The Indianapolis Star, the Spartans were expected to finish fifth in the Big Ten this season. Michigan State finished last season with a 20-15 overall record and made it to the second round of the NCAA Tournament, where it fell to fifth-seeded North Carolina.
