Devon Dampier scores 3 touchdowns and leads New Mexico over Air Force by a score of 52-37

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Devon Dampier accounted for three touchdowns and led New Mexico to a 52-37 victory over Air Force on Saturday night.

Dampier was 15 of 20 passing for 179 yards with a touchdown. He scored twice on the ground and finished the game rushing for 50 yards on 11 carries.

Eli Sanders added 80 yards rushing and two scores for New Mexico (2-4, 1-1 Mountain West Conference).

Dampier threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Nic Trujillo, extending the Aggies' lead to 21-10 with 5:05 left in the second half. Tylor Latham answered for Air Force with a 4-yard touchdown run before Dampier's 2-yard touchdown run made it 28-17 just before halftime. Dampier also had a 7-yard TD run in the first quarter.

The Aggies scored 17 points in the third quarter, capped by Sanders' 31-yard touchdown run, extending the lead to 45-17. Sanders added a 35-yard TD run to make it 52-24 with 10:54 left.

Quentin Hayes completed 4 of 7 passes for 79 yards and ran for 103 yards on 18 carries with a touchdown for Air Force (1-5, 0-3).
