Eagles vs. Buccaneers Week 4 game preview and predictions

Eagles vs. Buccaneers Week 4 game preview and predictions

I'm not quite sure what to think about this.

There is a lot of uncertainty here as both the Philadelphia Eagles and Tampa Bay Buccaneers are dealing with serious injuries.

The last time Jalen Hurts went into a game without at least one of AJ Brown or DeVonta Smith was in 2020. He's without two of his best weapons in a game against a head coach who may own him more than anyone else. Doesn't feel great.

The Bucs' prospects aren't great either after they were defeated at home by the Denver Broncos last weekend. I don't want to put too much into one game since the NFL is largely a week-to-week league. But seriously, what the hell was that?

Neither side appears to be at its peak at the moment. And so it could come down to an ugly, hard-fought battle.

The Eagles have every reason to rely heavily on Saquon Barkley in this game. A total of 30 touches might be appropriate, especially with the bye week coming up next weekend.

My tip for Eagles games this year is 0-3, so you should probably be concerned that I expect the Eagles to win in this game. But the truth is also that it's difficult to be sure what to expect from today's game.
