When will we see the early voting results in Oklahoma?

While ballots are cast days before the actual election, whether through in-person early voting or absentee voting, the results cannot be announced to the public until 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

Once counting begins, those results will appear on oklahoma.gov/elections, sorted by absentee, early or Election Day ballots.

When will we know who will be elected president?

While polls in Oklahoma close at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, polls in some states are open later, and some states even allow absentee ballots to be returned in the mail days after the election.

Since each state has its own rules, there is no guarantee that the winner of the election will be known that night or even the next day.

In 2020, the Associated Press announced President Joe Biden's victory four days after the election as a record number of voters cast their ballots by mail, which can take more time.
