Election 2024: Latest Pennsylvania poll for Harris and Trump

Elections across the country open in less than 24 hours, but the presidential race remains “extraordinarily close” among battleground states, according to the New York Times.

Harris maintained a slight lead nationally on Monday, while Trump still held a slight lead in several swing states crucial to the 2024 election.

Pennsylvania polls

In Pennsylvania, the latest NYT poll released Monday morning shows Donald Trump at 49 percent of the state polling average and Kamala Harris at 48 percent.

“Things remain extremely tight in the contested states. Because the race is so close, it doesn’t take a huge poll error to get a different result,” said NY Times senior political analyst Nate Cohn.

Less than two weeks ago, polls in Pennsylvania showed Trump and Harris “essentially tied,” each earning 48 percent statewide.

“While the overall result of our latest Times/Siena polls remained largely unchanged compared to our previous wave of battleground polls, there were some notable shifts. Surprisingly, the long-standing divide between the Rust Belt and Sun Belt battlefields has narrowed significantly. The overall effect of this “The swings are somewhat contradictory – it doesn't necessarily improve Ms. Harris' position in the Electoral College,” Cohn said.

Who will win nationally?

Harris had a 1% lead over Trump (48.3% vs. 47.3%) based on an average of 22 polls, most recently on November 3rd. according to survey site 270toWin.

Battleground states

According to 270toWin, Trump maintained a lead over Harris in several battlegrounds, including Arizona, Georgia, Nevada, North Carolina and Pennsylvania. Harris was ahead in Michigan and Wisconsin on Monday, 270toWin reported.
