ESPN's “College GameDay” guest picks for Penn State-Ohio State announced

No, it's not Pommel Horse Guy. It's not Cael Sanderson or Trace McSorley. But the “College GameDay” guest pick before Penn State-Ohio State will be a familiar face.

Keegan-Michael Key, an actor, comedian and Penn State graduate, will return to Happy Valley and ESPN's “College GameDay” desk this weekend to serve as the show's guest picker.

Key has appeared on “College GameDay” several times. He was notably the guest picker before Penn State's 2016 Big Ten Championship win over Wisconsin.

Key is best known for his hit comedy show “Key and Peele” on Comedy Central. He has also appeared in countless other films and shows over the past two decades.

Key is known in Happy Valley as James Franklin's doppelganger. Key was a guest coach for the 2018 Blue-White game. He also surprised the team in 2015 by impersonating Franklin in a meeting. That same week, Key was the grand marshal for Homecoming weekend.

Some thought ESPN could have been more creative with its choice, considering Key is a repeat offender. We had a few thoughts on who would have been great choices, including Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik, Sanderson, McSorley and even Chewbacca.

“College GameDay” will take place on Saturday in front of the Bryce Jordan Center next to Beaver Stadium. Fans attending the show can enter the pit area starting at 6:30 a.m
