Former NASCAR star Danica Patrick has called out Vice President Kamala Harris for failing to disclose how she voted on a key ballot measure in California.

If passed, Proposition 36 would make shoplifting a felony for repeat offenders, increase penalties for some drug offenses and give judges the power to order treatment for people with multiple drug offenses.

Some Democratic leaders and social justice groups said the measure would disproportionately incarcerate poor people and people with drug problems.

Harris decided to stab.

“I’m not going to talk about the vote on this. Because honestly, it's the Sunday before the election and I don't plan on building support for it one way or another,” she said.

Harris received criticism from Patrick on “X”.

“If that's what she's admittedly hiding, then you just wonder… What else? And why?” Patrick wrote. “Like in a relationship, it’s kind of a red flag.”

Patrick emerged into the national spotlight this campaign cycle as a staunch supporter of former President Donald Trump. She was seen at Trump events when he was seeking re-election.

The former NASCAR and IndyCar driver said she voted for the first time in this election and cast her vote for the former president.

“It's not something I'm proud of, I would say, but it's true,” she told Fox News Channel's Jesse Watters on “Jesse Watters Primetime” last month. “To explain myself briefly, one of the rules I've had for myself in all past elections, no matter what happened, was: 'Look, if I don't vote, that doesn't mean I don't have an opinion. but I won't tell anyone about it.

“I don't have a problem with anything, I can't complain about anything because I didn't do my part.” And for so long racing was my only focus, I didn't have the time or energy to really understand politics.

Patrick said her views changed as she started paying more attention to the news.

Patrick also attended America Fest in Phoenix last December, which reinforced her love for the country.

“There were so many great speakers and I posted a few pictures afterward,” she said of attending the event. “Of course it was very red, white and blue. Red is also my favorite color, and I basically just said that I love this country. AMFEST, America Fest, I love this country, seems like the right place. It just attracted so much media attention.”
