Nicole Kidman has sparked fears she could be suffering from “burnout” after throwing herself into her work.

The 57-year-old Australian actress has already filmed four major Hollywood projects, all of which are scheduled to be released this year amid a busy schedule.

She has also already signed on to another project, the upcoming six-part crime series Scarpetta, as she shows no signs of slowing down from her career high.

However, her busy schedule is said to have raised concerns that she could suffer “burnout” if she overloaded herself with publications and the associated press tours.

According to a source, people are particularly worried about Nicole as she is also currently dealing with the grief over the death of her mother Janelle.

Janelle died last month aged 84 – just hours before Nicole won the best actress award at the Venice Film Festival for her role in Babygirl.

“Nicole still looks as amazing as ever, but she's been through so much and she seems to be dealing with her grief by throwing herself into work,” a source told Woman's Day magazine.

“There are times when she sleeps more on the plane than in bed. Everyone is worried about her.'

The source claimed that Nicole had to go to some “dark places” to play the title role in the intense crime drama “Scarpetta,” which added to the star's worries.

“Nicole insists she is completely fine but her schedule is non-stop. “There is a lot of expectation to break away from Scarpetta,” they continued.

“It’s a grizzly crime thriller and she’s going to go to some dark places.”

Currently in production, Nicole will star in Scarpetta, a new Amazon series based on the mystery books by Patricia Cornwell and starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Ariana DeBose.

She's expected to appear on screen four times this year, having previously starred opposite Zac Efron in the Netflix novel series “A Family Affair,” which came out in June.

The “Big Little Lies” star is also expected to appear in another very steamy age-gap romance, “Babygirl,” which is slated to hit theaters in December.

In “Babygirl,” Nicole plays a married company boss who falls in love with her young intern, played by Harris Dickinson (28), and they begin a hot affair together.

She finally returned to her role as Kaitlyn Meade in the second season of Special Ops: Lioness and graced the red carpet at the star-studded premiere over the weekend.

Nicole recently reflected on her busy work life and shared how difficult it is for her to take a break from the cameras and just take time for herself.

“It's very hard for me to say, 'Okay, I'm just going to take care of myself,' because it's so important to me to take care of other people,” she told Variety.

“I think, ‘I can create more work for people.’ ‘I can create jobs for people.’ And besides, I love it. I have the passion.

“I just have to take care of my body.” “I wish I had superpowers because I would like to be everywhere.”

She recently suffered a personal tragedy after her beloved mother Janelle passed away and Nicole flew back to Australia for the funeral earlier this month.

Nicole spent a few days in her hometown of Sydney with her sister Antonia and their extended family as they all said one final goodbye to the Kidman matriarch.

Nicole was joined by her husband Keith Urban and their two daughters Sunday Rose, 16, and Faith Margaret, 14, before they all flew back to Los Angeles together.

Last month, a grieving Nicole was forced to leave the Venice Film Festival, where she won the best actress award for “Babygirl,” because of her mother's death.

“Today I arrived in Venice and shortly after found out that my beautiful, courageous mother, Janelle Ann Kidman, had just passed away,” Nicole revealed in a statement read by director Halina Reijn.

“I am in shock and need to get to my family but this award is for them, they shaped me, they guided me and they created me.”

“I am extremely grateful that Halina allows me to tell you all her name. The collision of life and art is heartbreaking and my heart is broken. “We love you all.”

Nicole was born in Honolulu and grew up in Sydney with Janelle and her psychologist father Antony, along with Antonia.

Nicole was devastated when he died of a heart attack in September 2014, aged 75.
