Fetterman warns that Trump is doing well in rural areas, even if he isn't targeting Pennsylvania

PITTSBURGH (KDKA) – His name isn't on the ballot, but Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman has fought hard across the commonwealth for his party's slate of candidates.

Fetterman made a name for himself by visiting every county in Pennsylvania. Therefore, he is somewhat of an expert on the state's 67 different counties. The Democrat says don't underestimate Donald Trump's support in many rural counties, noting Trump signs on barns, farms and farms.

“You all know how popular he is with a lot of people, even looking at this right now,” Fetterman said. “And all the time I spend traveling around Pennsylvania is visually shocking and surprising at the level of dedication.”

Despite this support, Fetterman believes it is not a lock for Trump.

“Will Vice President Harris take over Pennsylvania next Tuesday?” KDKA-TV's Jon Delano asked.

“She will,” Fetterman said. “She will wear it, but it will be very, very tight.”

Fetterman believes Harris supporters can make a difference in the city, suburbs and surrounding counties of Pittsburgh.

“It’s going to be a gut feeling type of vote,” Fetterman said. “And the people who haven’t decided yet come in and ask themselves: What do I want for America in the next four years?”

Fetterman says Harris and his vice president, Tim Walz, followed his advice and campaigned in areas outside of Pittsburgh and Philadelphia.

“If you don't show up and there's only one side that does, then it's so reasonable that some people turn away and say, 'If you don't even show up, then why am I even voting for this?' that?'” Fetterman said.

Of course, Trump also campaigned in every region of the state. In a statement, a Trump spokesman said the former president would win that state, noting: “Every time Pennsylvanians fill up their gas tank, go grocery shopping or see headlines about Kamala's dumpster fire due to a border crisis, it's further impetus to the cause.” Cementing. “Pennsylvania as Trump Country on November 5th.”
