Fire damages auto repair shop in Greensburg

An auto repair shop was damaged by fire in Greensburg.

According to Westmoreland County dispatchers, the fire was reported at 4:03 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of East Otterman Street.

Channel 11 had firefighters working on the roof of the building.

Damage was also visible on the front wall of the garage.

According to the fire department, a worker was using a flashlight to repair something on a truck that was on a lift, which caused the fire to break out.

Paramedics treated one person at the scene.

As crews responded, East Otterman Street and a portion of Pittsburgh Street were closed.
