Freddie Freeman of the Los Angeles Dodgers rewrites team history in Game 4 of the World Series

The Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the New York Yankees on Tuesday night, falling 11-4 in Game 4 of the World Series. With the loss, the Dodgers still hold a commanding 3-1 lead in the World Series and are just one win away from their first title since the COVID-shortened 2020 season.

Although they lost, Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman continued his assault at the plate, going 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and an RBI fielder's choice. He has now hit a home run in six consecutive World Series games since his time in Atlanta.

Additionally, with 10 RBI in this World Series, he now has the most RBI of any Dodgers player in history. According to MLB.com's Sarah Langs, only two players in baseball history have more RBI than him.

If the Dodgers manage to win this series, Freeman expects a clear MVP victory. He also won the World Series title with the Braves in 2021.

The 35-year-old Freeman is batting .250 with four home runs and 11 RBI heading into the playoffs. He has been battling an ankle injury for the past few weeks, but he seems to be doing much better in the last week.

He hit .282 with 22 home runs, 89 RBI and nine stolen bases that regular season.

Game 5 of the World Series is scheduled for Wednesday night, with first pitch at 8:08 p.m. AND.
