Freeze Warning in NM on Monday – your 9 day forecast

It's hard to believe, but Election Day is FINALLY just around the corner. Luckily the day should be very nice after a very cold morning with lighter winds. Here's your 9-hour forecast “No excuse not to vote!”

TONIGHT: KTSM has issued a weather agency warning for much of southern New Mexico due to a very cold night and a freeze warning. The sky slowly clears and the wind dies down. NW winds will vary between 10 and 30 mph but will become a light breeze during the morning hours. The low will fall to 36 at the airport and 33 in the Valley.

FORECAST: Tuesday will be sunny and much more pleasant with lighter winds. SW winds will vary between 5 and 20 mph, with a high near 69. Wednesday will be mostly sunny to partly cloudy and windy, with a high of 74 mph. A significant winter-class low pressure system will move into New Mexico on Thursday. Expect cloudy skies, cool winds, showers and a high of 57. Friday will start out cloudy with showers and the possibility of severe weather across the Transmountain. Late afternoon skies will clear, but the high will only be 50. Saturday morning will be clear and very cold with a low of 30. Saturday will be sunny with light winds and a high of 65.
