From hero to zero! Spurs youngster scores first goal before seeing red in Istanbul 😓

It was a sobering evening for Tottenham in Istanbul as Galatasaray and Victor Osimhen raged in a Europa League clash.

Perhaps no player's evening summed up their struggles better than young striker Will Lankshear, who scored a first-half equalizer before seeing red in the second half.

The 19-year-old was named in the starting XI by Ange Postecoglou alongside Archie Gray as the Spurs boss continued to use the competition to blood young players.

And after 18 minutes it seemed as if the noise generated by the Gala fans had not worried the striker, who equalized from close range after excellent work from Gray and Brennan Johnson.

However, as Spurs struggled and brought down Osimhen, who scored twice before half-time, Lankshear appeared increasingly isolated and frustrated.

Already booked, he showed his inexperience by desperately trying to win the ball back in the second half and was sent offside early on.

A mixed evening for the player, but still promising!
