LAST GAME PLAYED – OCT. 09/24: VAN 5 vs. CGY 6 (OT)

Daniel Sprong scored the first goal at 9:40 of the first period… Filip Hronek and Danton Heinen recorded the assists… Brock Boeser doubled the lead 2:08 later… Jake Debrusk and Elias Pettersson picked up the assists… Conor Garland scored his first goal of the season , to make it 3-0 just after the 12-minute mark of the first game… Nils Höglander and Aatu Räty were credited with the assists… Anthony Mantha answered for the Flames with a short-handed tally… Boeser scored his second goal of the Game with under three minutes left in the first period… JT Miller and Quinn Hughes had the assists… the Flames responded with four straight goals… Miller tied the game with 1:37 left in the third period … Hughes picked up his second assist of the game … Connor Zary scored the game-winning goal in overtime … Boeser and Miller combined to lead the team with three shots each … Miller had a team-high three goals … Hughes and Vincent Desharnais each had two blocked shots… Artūrs Šilovs made 20 saves.

    • Pine Sherwood agreed to a two-year contract on July 1 after recording 27 points (10-17-27) in 68 games with the Nashville Predators in 2023.
    • Daniel Sprong agreed to a one-year contract on July 20 after recording 43 points (18-25-43) in 76 games with the Detroit Red Wings in 2023.24.
    • Vincent Desharnais agreed to the terms of a two-year contract on July 1 after recording 11 points (1-10-11) in 78 games with the Edmonton Oilers in 2023.24.
    • Derek Forbort agreed to the terms of a one-year contract on July 1 after recording four points (0-4-4) in 35 games for the Boston Bruins in 2023.24.
    • Kevin Lankinen agreed to a one-year deal on Sept. 21 after compiling an 11-6-0 record with a 2.82 goals against average and a .908 save percentage in 24 games with the Nashville Predators in 2023.
