NEW YORK – Harvey Weinstein has been diagnosed with a form of bone marrow cancer, sources told ABC News.

According to the sources, the disgraced Hollywood mogul has been diagnosed with chronic myeloid leukemia and is being treated in prison.

Weinstein is being charged again with sex crimes after his New York conviction was overturned on appeal.

His representatives issued the following statement to ABC News: Craig Rothfeld, Mr. Weinstein's authorized health representative in New York State, expresses deep dismay at the speculation about Mr. Weinstein's health. It is both worrying and unacceptable that such private and confidential health matters have become the subject of public debate. Out of respect for Mr. Weinstein's privacy, we will have no further comment.
